A burst supply line, an overflowing tub, or a storm surge under the back door doesn't wait for business hours, and neither do we. We dispatch Athens units carrying industrial extraction pumps, air movers, and commercial dehumidifiers already loaded on the truck.
Hirex Water Damage started because homeowners in Athens, ME kept telling us the same story: a national hotline picked up, put them on hold, and then subcontracted the job out to whoever was cheapest and closest. Every technician on our Athens roster is a Hirex Water Damage employee, not a gig-app contractor pulled from a random directory.
Each lead tech holds an IICRC Water Restoration Technician certification and has personally handled clean-water, gray-water, and contaminated black-water losses, so Water Removal in Athens isn't a side service we tacked on — it's the reason the company exists. We carry full general liability coverage and are licensed to operate throughout Athens, ME, so you're protected from the moment our truck pulls into the driveway.
Our Athens, ME-based equipment cache means drying gear is already close by, not stuck in a truck three states away.
Talk to a Athens property manager who's lived through an overnight pipe failure and they'll tell you exactly why a crew that arrives already equipped matters — every extra minute is more water in the framing. That's the gap Hirex Water Damage was built to close, one Athens call at a time.
Water damage doesn't always look dramatic at first — some of the costliest Athens jobs we've handled began as a small, easy-to-miss problem. Here's what tells us a property needs professional attention rather than a mop and a fan:
If you're nodding along to any of these, get ahead of it now rather than later — our Athens dispatcher will give you an honest read on urgency, not a sales pitch.
Whether it's one bedroom carpet or an entire flooded commercial floor, our Athens crews scale the response to match the loss — nothing gets a cookie-cutter response.
Truck-mounted extraction equipment on every Athens rig pulls high volumes of standing water fast, so drying starts the same day instead of the next. Every extraction job includes moisture mapping so we know exactly which materials are still holding water once the visible flooding is gone.
Our drying plans use moisture meters and thermal imaging to target air movers exactly where hidden moisture is trapped, with daily drying logs so you can see the numbers improving, not just take our word for it.
On the residential side in Athens, we handle the flood-cut, subfloor checks, and content pack-out so your home is ready to rebuild, with clear photo documentation at every stage for your insurance claim.
Athens businesses and property managers get a dedicated project lead, after-hours crews, and equipment scaled to square footage rather than a single-crew response — we know a flooded lobby or a leaking unit above tenants below has to move fast.
When a Athens job involves sewage backup, our team suits up in full PPE, applies EPA-registered antimicrobials, and safely disposes of porous materials that can't be saved.
On top of standard drying, our Athens crews treat affected materials to reduce mold risk and will be upfront if a section needs specialist remediation.
Every Athens estimate is written and explained before work begins — no vague "we'll see how it goes" pricing.
Local staging inside Athens, ME means Athens response times usually beat the national average by a wide margin.
We document everything with photos and moisture logs and work directly with your adjuster so you're not stuck translating restoration jargon.
If moisture readings aren't where they should be at the end of the job, we come back and keep drying at no extra charge.
A short call with our Athens dispatcher tells us whether this is a one-room job or a multi-crew response before anyone drives out.
The closest available technician is routed to your Athens property with equipment staged and ready.
We remove standing water first, then map moisture and position air movers and dehumidifiers based on the readings.
We don't close the file until the numbers confirm the structure is dry, and you leave with full photo and moisture documentation.
Every Athens job gets closed based on instrument readings, not a visual check, and we won't call it finished until the numbers say it's finished. If a callback shows lingering moisture within 30 days of a completed job, we return and correct it at no additional charge.
We put that guarantee directly on the Athens work order, not just in an ad. If a second visit is ever needed, it comes from the same crew that handled the original job whenever scheduling allows, since they already know the property and the readings we started from.
